United States Naval Academy tabs StatBroadcast for live stats in 2016-17


The United States Naval Academy and StatBroadcast annoucned today that the school will use StatBroadcast for its live stats platform in 2016-17 to simulcast live action from its athletic events to the web and mobile devices.

The USNA, also known as Navy, is a four-year federal service academy located in Annapolis, Maryland. Established in 1845, it has a current enrollment of more than 4500 midshipmen. Sponsoring 30 varsity teams, the Navy Midshipmen participate at the NCAA Division-I FBS level as members of the Patriot League and the American Athletic Conference for football. The Midshipmen football team has captured 10 of the last 13 Commander-in-Chief trophies, awarded to the winner of each year's triangular football series among the three FBS-level service academies, and notched its 15th consecutive victory over rival Army this past season; Navy is also riding a three-game winning streak in bowl games, having defeated Pitt 44-28 in the 2015 Military Bowl in Annapolis.

Navy is the second of the three Division-I service academies to partner with StatBroadast for live stats, joining Air Force, and is the fourth school from Maryland.
