Butler taps StatBroadcast for live stats in 2015-16

Butler University will use StatBroadcast as its official live stats platform in 2015-16, the company announced today. StatBroadcast will simulcast live stats to the web and mobile devices of Butler's athletic events starting this August as well as provide real-time statistical data to media and staff.

Butler Univeristy is a private institution located in Indianapolis, Indiana that was founded in 1855 as North Western Christian University. Butler was the first in Indiana and the third in the US to admit both men and women; it also established the first Department of English in the state of Indiana. The Butler Bulldogs compete at the NCAA Division I FCS level as members of the Big East Conference and the Pioneer Football League. The Butler men's basketball team, which plays its home games in the famous Hinkle Fieldhouse, has risen to national prominence in the past few seasons; after reaching the Sweet Sixteen in 2003 after a 41-year drought, the Bulldogs put together a streak of five straight Horizon League championships from 2007 to 2011 and appeared in the National Championship game in back-to-back years in 2010 and 2011.

Butler is the eighth Big East school to partner with StatBroadcast and the sixth from the state of Indiana.
