Stanford University to use StatMonitr in 2013-14

STANFORD, CALIF. -- Stanford University has reached agreement to use the StatMonitr media stats system in 2013-14, StatBroadcast announced today. The university will use StatBroadcast's media stats platform to provide a live feed of stats to media at all home athletic events in 2013-14.

Stanford Unviersity is a private research university located in Stanford, California, near Palo Alto, lying just north of San Jose and south of San Francisco. Stanford is one of the most prestigious academic universities in the world, as its faculty, staff and alumni having racked up 52 Nobel Prices, including 19 current faculty members, and companies founded by Stanford alumni generate more than $2.7 trillion in annual revenue. It is also one of the most prestigious athletic institutions, having won 104 NCAA championships (second-most all-time), including at least one for 37 straight years, and having won the NACDA Director's Cup every year since its inception 18 years ago. The Stanford Cardinal sponsor 34 varsity sports and are members of the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division-I.

The Cardinal football team has strung together three-straight seasons with at least 11 wins and a BCS bowl appearance, including winning the 2012 Pac-12 Championship and the 2013 Rose Bowl Game. The Stanford women's basketball team won its 13th consecutive Pac-12 regular season championship and seventh consecutive Pac-12 tournament championship in 2013, en route to a berth in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, the sixth time in a row they have advanced to the third round of the tournament.
