Gator Bowl to use StatMonitr at 2014 Game

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. -- The Gator Bowl will use the StatMonitr media stats system at the 2014 edition of its annual game, StatBroadcast Systems announced today.

The Gator Bowl is played annually at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida and has been held continuously since 1946, making it the sixth oldest college bowl game. This year's game will be held on January 1, 2014 and will feature selections from the SEC and Big Ten Conferences. The Gator Bowl has had 38 of its 66 games featuring two ranked opponents and has featured at least one ranked team in 61 of 66 games. The bowl's current payout, distributed to the participating teams and conferences, is $7 million and will be televised on ESPN2.
