University of Kentucky chooses BCS Stats Systems

LEXINGTON, KY. -- The University of Kentucky has reached an agreement with BCS Stats Systems to provide stats technologies, namely its StatMonitr wireless stat monitors and online media stats, at home athletic events during the 2010-2011 school year, company president Nate Policar announced today.

"The University of Kentucky is synonymous with college basketball excellence and we are extremely proud to be able to partner with such a first-class institution," said Policar. "Expanding to a school with such a rich tradition as Kentucky, as well as into the SEC, was one of the goals we had set for our organization this year and to be able to realize that is very exciting."

University of Kentucky is a public university located in Lexington with an enrollment of 27,000. The Wildcats compete in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in 22 different varsity sports programs. In 2009-10, the Kentucky football program made its fourth straight bowl appearance, the men's basketball team became the first program in NCAA history to reach the 2000 win plateau and earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, and the women's basketball team set school records in overall and conference wins. Kentucky is the first school from the SEC, a BCS automatic qualifying conference, to partner with BCS Stats for its statistics technologies.
