East Texas Baptist University to use StatBroadcast in 2013-14, first in Division III

MARSHALL, TEXAS -- East Texas Baptist University and StatBroadcast Systems announced today that it has become the first NCAA Division III member to partner wtih StatBroadcast for its athletics live stats, beginning in August 2013.

East Texas Baptist University is a private co-ed university located in Marshall, Texas. Founded in 1912, it has an enrollment of 1,350 students. The ETBU Tigers sponsor 12 varsity sports at the NCAA Division III level and are members of the American Southwest Conference; the ETBU women's softball team captured the National Championship in 2010.

NCAA Division III consists of 449 member institutions, the largest of the three NCAA divisions, which are schools that range in size with enrollments of less than 500 to more than 20,000 students. NCAA Division III members do not offer athletic scholarships to student-athletes, may not redshirt fresmen and may not use endowments or funds whose primary purpose is to benefit their athletic programs. D-III programs compete in athletics as non-revenue, extracurricular activities for students.
